btone Fitness Strengthens Bodies with Slow Movements and Fast Results

By Kelly Church

Combining strength training with cardio, balance and flexibility, btone Fitness is an east coast gym franchise with seven locations in the Boston, MA area. Founder Jody Merrill said the many locations allow the studios to be very accessible to many clients all over. Their motto is "slow movements, fast results," and is seen by their choice of equipment.

btone Fitness uses reformer machines, similar to those in Pilates, water rowers and weights for full body workouts. There are six classes offered through btone Fitness: tone, row, tone n torch, cir-cut, dynamic tone and bootcamp.

"All of our classes are equipment based, and we like to use equipment that you don't see everyday," Merrill said. "We pride ourselves on being able to offer an entire class, where our clients work together on the same routine, despite the fact that one may be an athlete, a newcomer or someone working with injuries. Despite the equipment looking slightly intimidating, it's anything but and offers one of the most amazing and comprehensive full-body workouts."

Merrill believes that btone Fitness can fully support weight loss goals for members. According to Merrill, btone Fitness encourages clients to stay on track by keeping things interesting in the studio. The lack of boredom combined with encouragement from fellow members and staff leads to results.

"We organize our workouts to offer clients a variety in routine, but with refined attention to particular areas of the body," Merrill said. "This way, by the end of the week, we all feel stronger as a whole. Paired with a healthy nutrition regimen, you'll be on your way to appreciating your body in a whole new way. The strength you build inside and out of the studio will amaze you."

Merrill said to really understand how effective btone Fitness programs could be clients should try several classes. She said they specifically offer an introductory plan for new members to allow them to try multiple classes. New members can get three classes for $30.

"Just leave your ego at the door and get ready to challenge your body as a whole for 45 minutes," Merrill said. "You can shut it all off and let us walk you through it step by step. We promise you will feel differently about working out, and you will create a stronger, more confident and more toned body."
