Tell us a little bit about your company and the services you offer.

We are an award winning, residential remodeling business. Our specialties include windows, doors, basements, kitchens, bathrooms, and flooring, to name a few. We are fully licensed and insured, and have working relationships with all necessary sub-contractors.

What are the usual signs that it's time to have your home windows and/or doors replaced?

Some common signs for windows or doors are drafts and warping. For windows, another sign is moisture between the glass, this indicates a break in the vacuum seal, which has a big effect on the insulating factor of the window.

What are some of the main options that homeowners will need to decide on when they're replacing windows and doors in their house?

With windows the foremost factor is budget. There can be a large range in the price windows. Narrow down the windows to the ones in your price range and compare the different models for style, efficiency and warranty.

Can you briefly explain the basic steps from start to finish and how long it should take?

The basic steps for window installation are; Floor protection of the home, careful removal of the windows stops and moldings, proper disposal of the old windows, leveling and insulation of the new windows, reinstallation of the window stops and moldings, and, thorough cleaning of the area. Installation can take from 30 to sixty minutes per window.

Are there certain window styles or features that are popular in most homes?

Grids between the panes has become a very popular option and is much easier for cleaning. Also Argon gas between the panes is a popular energy saving option as well.

What advice would you give to someone who needs to get new windows and/or doors but has a limited budget?

By researching the different window and/or door manufacturers and comparing there energy efficiency and warranty is the best way to get the most for your money.
