Healing Hands and Bodywork Makes You Feel Better

By Jake Levin

The staff at Healing Hands and Bodywork specializes in all forms of relaxation bodywork and stress management, with a commitment to making a profound difference in their clients by creating a "moment in time" of calm and peace.

Edward, the owner of the salon in Newton, Mass., said that his goal is to do so in a manner which can restore balance and promote the healing and awakening of mind, body and soul.

"Everything is connected," Edward said. "Mental, physical and emotional stress creates a toxic environment in which one's well-being is greatly compromised. Making the choice to embark on a healing journey from the inside out is vital to living a full and happy life. It's about mindfulness."

The hands-on bodywork is geared towards allowing the mind to empty and reset, Edward said. Some of his work is verbal, as in addition to touch, some clients need to sit and talk to identify simple habits and stress triggers. It is through these conversations that Edward can offer suggestions and solutions to better manage your stress.

"Over time, with routine visits, the combination of hands on work and minor lifestyle changes can have profound effects," he said.

One of the neat quirks of Healing Hands and Bodywork is the Lomi Lomi massage which Edward masters. He said that it is one of the most profound forms of massage, like a feast for your senses. The Polynesian technique has been specifically mastered by Hawaiians and is loosely translated to mean "loving touch."

Edward is a certified Kanaka Lomi (practitioner) and is also a licensed massage therapist who has several reasons why you should check out Healing Hands and Bodywork.

"I work from a clean, comfortable calming wellness studio and I love my work, I love making a difference in people's lives," he said. "I work to make each experience exceptional, and give 110 percent of my energy. To see how my clients are moved by the experience fills me with joy and leaves me with an inner peace and sense of purpose and meaning. I feel honored that my clients come to me to help me find calm and improve their physical and mental health."
