Inner Strength Wellness of Cape Cod Leaves You Feeling Relaxed and Rejuvenated

By S. Mathur

In purely practical terms, massage can be incredibly helpful for people suffering from chronic pain and for those recovering from or wanting to prevent sports injuries. Gina Nasah, licensed massage therapist and owner-operator of Inner Strength Wellness of Cape Cod believes that the pluses of massage are boundless.

"There are many benefits of massage that address an individual's physical, emotional and mental wellbeing," Nasah said. "For starters, massage can reduce stress and anxiety, promote relaxation, relieve muscle tension, improve circulation, strengthen ones immune system, and relieve insomnia. Massage can additionally work at a cellular level by reduce inflammation and promote muscle growth and healing."

Nasah is well versed in the experience and science of physical and spiritual healing. Her qualifications include a Usui Reiki Master certification, a level two methodology of Shakti lifestream certification, and a massage therapy certification from the Spa Tech Institute in Plymouth, MA. Nasah uses her extensive knowledge of different types of massage to find the right one for each client.

"We pride ourselves on truly listening to a client's wants and needs," Nasah said. "There is no cookie-cutter approach to our massages so each session is unique and individualized. This is what makes our facility stand out as high quality and has given us five-star ratings."

Sessions can be based on modalities such as yoga, acupressure, trigger point therapy, Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage. Clients find the massage to be incredibly effective, providing pain relief where other remedies like medication and chiropracty have failed. Massage also helps in recovery from sports injuries by circulating oxygen-rich blood into tissues and vital organs. This allows injured areas to become more flexible and to heal more quickly. Clients with chronic injuries feel that massage improves their quality of life and allows them to be less reliant on pain-relieving medication.

Nasah also believes in creating a soothing space where healing can take place. Beginning with the location, on scenic Route 1A in West Barnstable, the space addresses the senses as much as the body.

"I firmly believe that it is important to create a space that makes a client feel safe and nurtured because that is really the first step to healing," Nasah said. "I pride myself on the fact that many of my returning clientele state that, outside of my skill and ability, the biggest reason they come back to me is that my positive energy and professionalism makes them feel comfortable and relaxed."
