Stay in Constant Motion with Pure Motion Barre

Fitness studio Pure Motion Barre in Kingston, Massachusetts offers a variety of cardio and strength training classes. From teaching yoga to Barre, Pure Motion is one of the hottest new clubs in town. Their offerings have been carefully vetted to ensure a comprehensive workout and wellness experience. That is achieved through building and refining gross motor skills, fitness, and self-esteem.

Pure Motion Barre also caters to a younger demographic, namely children. The studio has a variety of innovative, specialty children's classes and programs. One example is the Locomotion class which teaches toddlers and infants basic motor skills, vocabulary, phonological awareness, and comprehension. Through movement, song, storytelling, and reading, this 45-minute class is suggested for children one to three years old and allows for caretaker participation.

Another class, the Pure Princess Power, engages toddlers and preschoolers in aerobic fitness that strengthens their motor skills and builds endurance while encouraging students to dress in their favorite princess attire.

Adult Barre classes are broken down into classic, fusion, classic pressed, and soul. The classic course emphasizes fundamental Barre positions such as plies and pirouettes with elements of Pilates, dance, yoga, and functional training set to the tone of motivational tunes. The fusion and classic pressed courses start with gentle yoga sequences and deep stretches that transition into classic Barre workouts. Finally, the soul and the quickie classes utilize free weights, resistance bands, and medicine balls. In addition, the soul integrates Reiki, a meditative breath-work.

"Pure Motion Barre is a welcoming studio, designed to be a comforting retreat away from the everyday chaos of life," founder and master Barre instructor Stephanie Boggier said. "Our studio provides an intimate and personalized space where our clients can achieve their individual fitness goals."

Boggier is especially excited about the programs at Pure Barre that are tailored to women; from pre-teen and teen to prenatal and postnatal work as well as menopause management, Pure Barre covers women throughout their life journeys.

"Our classes are not routines, but group sessions where modifications are offered to individuals who may [have] various conditions and need recovery or advancement," said Boggier. "We also hold challenges, workshops for heathier eating lifestyles, a support network and just an all-over escape from the outside world just when you need it."

Boggier is inspired by the success of her students and their motivation to advance their physical and spiritual abilities.

"I have had the pleasure of watching women get married, go through their pregnancy journey with us, move homes and lose family members," Boggier said. "I have had the pleasure of watching them transform into stronger, healthier, and happier women."
