The Town of Ludlow is a progressive suburban community located in the northwest corner of the metropolitan area of Springfield. It borders on the cities of Springfield and Chicopee and the towns of Granby and Belchertown, with Westover Industrial Airpark to the northwest.
Town residents feel that Ludlow has established itself as a target for industrial and retail growth while maintaining its pleasant community atmosphere. Ludlow provides its residents with a community hospital, rehabilitation center and a town health department. Housing is available for the elderly, the handicapped and low income families. Ludlow provides two congregate living units accommodating a total of seven individuals, and has the largest senior center in western Massachusetts.
Ludlow's school system runs from K-12 and the town has a Boys' and Girls' Club which provides the Latch Key program for children as well as a summer youth camp and other recreational activities. The town also maintains six parks, two excellent golf courses and is only minutes away from cultural and entertainment facilities in the greater Springfield area with access to both the Massachusetts Turnpike and Route 91.
