When it comes to Plaza Catering, there's not much that you won't find on their eclectic menu. A delicious mix of breakfast, lunch, dinner, hors d'oeuvres, and desserts, Plaza Catering can satisfy even the pickiest of palates. There's no limit to your choices, offering a wide selection of every meal.
Breakfast choices range from the basic continental breakfast to delectable breakfast sandwiches to such delicacies as smoked salmon platters. Lunch options involve soups, salads, sandwiches, in addition to homemade chips and dips, fajita bars, and even baked potato bars. Of course, there are crowd favorites like pizza and calzones and hors d'oeuvres that are tailored to every occasion.
In addition to having an exceptional, mouth-watering menu selection, Plaza Catering really and truly cares about their clients. They strive to go above and beyond in order to ensure their clients are absolutely satisfied by the service they receive when partnering with Plaza Catering. "It may be searching high and low for a special food item they need, assisting in event planning, working through special dietary needs, developing fun theme menus for special events and always spending as much time on the phone or in person to work through all the clients' needs," says Shannon Sweeney, VP of Business Development at Plaza Catering.
"Clients are never told no." The company has learned to excel when it comes to same day catering orders, a feat that seems fairly hard for the standard catering company. "The team is always ready to work together for the numerous last minute same day orders," Sweeney says. "Clients are blown away!"
One of the reasons Plaza Catering is such a pleasure to work with?and for?is because they are a family-owned business, hand built from the ground up by an extremely hard working owner, Gerry Walba. "Gerry is dedicated to the business, to exceeding expectations for clients and providing an enjoyable working environment for the staff," affirms Sweeney. "Anyone at Plaza would say they have never had and will never find another boss who truly cares about the employees and clients as much as he does."
Plaza Catering has opened a store front, which can be found in Kendall Square at 301 Binney St. The store front is called Discovery Cafe. A secondary location opened at 3 Blackfan Circle in Boston Connected to Beth Israel and in the Center for Life Science building. "We also just opened a THIRD location in Cambridge at 215 First St in the Athenaeum building," Sweeney states.
