The flagship course at Commit 2B Fit studio is Katie's Kickbutt Bootcamp, a 45-minute session of high energy squats, lunges, and push-ups. Trainer and owner of the studio Katie McEvoy throws in circuits, drills, and abdomen workouts to keep students on their toes. In a matter of days, and you'll start to see results, McEvoy said. Because of the combination of cardio, weights, and body strengthening, the class is uniquely positioned to deliver maximum results in a short period of time.
Another popular class is POUND, a full-body cardio jam session, combining light resistance with constant simulated drumming. The workout fuses cardio, Pilates, isometric movements, plyometric and isometric poses into a 45-minute series. You can easily expend between 400 and 900 calories per hour while sculpting infrequently used muscles.
Commit 2B Fit takes commitment and motivation, but McEvoy guarantees that if you stick with the program, the results will be worth it. In addition to the boot camp there are a whole slew of workouts including the Cardio Kick Kettle Bell, barre, Zumba, boxing, arms and abs, and many others. In fact, there are a total of 46 classes to choose from, each offering a targeted or complete workout. Small group trainings are led by McEvoy and are quite popular.
"Commit 2B Fit Studio can help you lose weight and feel great with our small exclusive fitness classes and motivational staff," McEvoy said. Trainers are actively involved in the wellbeing of their students not only during class but also through giving them health and lifestyle advice.
Often times, people are discouraged from frequenting the gym because they feel like they are on their own. They are often times not sure where to start or how to build their workout. Classes at Commit 2B Fit are small, between eight and 16 students, and allow each client to receive personalized attention.
"A lot of our members never enjoyed working out or never actually worked out before, [but] once they come to Commit 2B Fit, they are hooked," McEvoy said. Building confidence in each student is critical in helping them on their path of wellness.
McEvoy often hears from her clients that they never enjoyed working out until they joined her studio. Her ability to make fitness classes fun and challenging is definitely a big plus, as well as the accountability factor. Once you commit to a particular package by signing up on their website, McEvoy and the class instructor both know you should be coming. Commitment to their workouts is not to be taken lightly. It's akin to a meeting at work, except it keeps you healthy and strong, says McEvoy. And that's what separates them from large, corporate gyms. McEvoy suggests for new clients to sign up for the introductory special three classes for $29.
